Despite only having 10 players, Chester fought hard for this draw and well deserved it. Goals game from an up and coming young player Charlotte Nott, a fantastic strike form a penalty corner from Juliette Old and from open play by Sarah Cooper. Two of Chester’s goals were scored in the 31st minute of each half – spooky!

A spring-like day made for a great game of hockey, played a stone throws away from the M6. A mixed team came together very well and played some clean and focused hockey, despite no goal keeper! Goals came from Laura Wilson and new player Laura Mallard with strong play at the back from Fiona Tamblyn Jones and Sarah Ellis, who took no prisoners!

The 4th team fielded a strong side this week; comprising of a number of up and coming younger players in the club, such as Charlotte Nott, Ellie , Charlotte Sherea, Emily McKenzie and Annabelle Church in goal, to the more experienced players, including Sarah Ellis and a return from ex. 1st X1 player Laura Millar, who played a fantastic game and was ‘the glue that held the team together’! A strong win for the side, with great parental support on the side line, which saw Charlotte Nott score two and Franki Duckett score one.
Ladies 4th X1 vs Crewe Vagrants 3rd xi - Saturday 29th September 2007

Chester fought a hard match against a strong Crewe side in their first league game of the season. Chester went ahead inthe first half, after several shots on goal with a brilliantly placed shot from a short corner by Hannah Morgan,and held on to a one nil lead at half time. In the second half Chester continued to play some great hockey with notable performances from Juliet Old and Susie Crawford in defence and sarah Cooper at centre forward. Chester scored again in the second half when Frances Duckett Passed back to player of the match Jen Aspinall who took no hesitation in striking the ball firmly into the goal.The final score 2-0 to chester, a great start to the season!
